There isn’t enough room to begin to list the variety of fishing available in Pembrokeshire but it includes sea fishing (both shore and boat) as well as Coarse and Game Fishing. Around Newport, we have the largest game fishery in West Wales at Llysyfran Reservoir, a 212-acre mixed Rainbow and Wild Brown trout Fishery used for national and international competitions and many other fisheries of high quality.
The Nevern Estuary is good for Sea Bass and Sewin and trout up river. The latter is partly privately owned and partly owned by Nevern AA. Season tickets are available in the village from the book shop and any queries can be answered by Mrs N Pritchard on 01239 820671. Nearby, the Teifi River is a fine salmon river and arguably the best mixed game fish river in England and Wales. Boats can be chartered for sea fishing from Newport, Fishguard or Cardigan as well as further afield.
